Studio Artisane

Studio Artisane

Studio Artisane is an inclusive woodworking, crafting, and DIY studio in Falmouth, Maine, founded by Sandrine Moser. We believe anyone — kids, teens, parents, complete beginners — can pick up a power tool, build something beautiful, and walk out the door feeling proud. The "e" at the end of Artisane is a quiet nod to that mission: tools and creativity belong to everyone. Our small, hands-on classes meet you wherever you are. First-time woodworker? You'll leave with a finished piece in your hands. Bringing your own project? We'll dig in alongside you. From Build-A-Story workshops for ages five and up, to adult side tables, traditional rush-seat chair workshops, basic upholstery, and fused glass — we offer something for every age and skill level. Birthday parties, summer camps, and after-school programs round out our calendar. We're equal parts maker space and gathering place. Expect sawdust on the floor, good music playing, and someone genuinely happy to help. Most students tell us the same thing on their way out — they feel proud. That's exactly the point.

Reviews

"My eight-year-old left her first class with a wooden stool she built herself and would not stop showing it off. Sandrine is patient, encouraging, and clearly loves what she does. We've already signed up for the next session."
Megan H.Falmouth, ME
"I took the rushed-chair workshop expecting to fail spectacularly and instead walked out with a real chair I rushed myself. The teaching style is calm, hands-on, and exactly what I needed to actually learn the craft."
David R.Portland, ME
"We hosted our daughter's tenth birthday party here and every kid was completely engaged for the entire two hours. Parents kept asking us how we found the place. Studio Artisane is a Maine treasure."
The Whitman FamilyCumberland, ME
"I always assumed power tools were for other people. One Sunday afternoon class later and I'm planning what to build next. Sandrine creates the kind of space where you actually feel safe trying."
Allison P.Yarmouth, ME
